A Note About Future Events
Over the past few years our service unit team has graciously been taking on the role of event committee organizers. We will be trying to step out of that role and allow the scouts to organize and carry out events. Girls can accomplish almost all the tasks involved in holding an event, with the guidance of their leaders, parents and service unit, of course.
As well as trying to relieve ourselves of being overloaded with large event coordination roles as well as our service unit roles and troop leader roles, we also feel that we have been depriving the girls of the experience and fun of planning these events for themselves.

So, please be aware that events may not be automatically planned as they have been in the past. If there is an event that is important to you and your scouts, then you and your scouts need to be involved in making it happen! Please be encouraged to invite your troop members and parents to come with you to a leader's meeting. Its a great place to network with other leaders and parents to get your ideas turning into action.
